Triad. The Piedmont Triad (or simply Triad) is a north-central region of the State of North Carolina that consists of the area within and surrounding the three major cities of Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and High Point.
Trail. For the purposes of this forum, trail refers mostly to multi-purpose greenways and trails, either paved or unpaved. Mostly families and adults use these trails for recreation or fitness walking, running, skating, bicycling, and, on some trails, horseback riding. Teenagers and younger adults tend to use more adventurous single-track trail riding.
Tracker. The forum tracks trail conditions and provides a public forum for all trail users, but it is primarily oriented toward bicycle trail users. The forum provides all trail users a way to report current trail conditions, such as flowing or fallen trees, comment about their favorite trails (even if they are outside the triad region), comment on details of their favorite walk, run, or rides, and make comments or ask or answer questions about bicycles, bicycling, and trail riding. If trail users post conditions, such as flooding or fallen trees, of the trail they as they use it or just after they use it, then other users will know how to plan their trail usage for the day. Many trail users use the same trails every day or most days during the week, so their input would be very helpful.
I apologize for the banner ads on the forum. ProBoards hosts the forum for free; to be able to do this, they post ads on the forum. If the site starts getting a lot of use, I'll switch to the paid version to eliminate the ads.
