9/3/15: Trail is dry and clear of debris. Lot of exposed rocks and roots, and ruts. Be extra careful of loose sand and gravel, especially in curves.
9/8/15: Ruts are still everywhere but trail traffic has rounded the sides of the ruts so the impact felt when hitting them has been lessened. Loose sand and gravel in curves are still a hazard. Today, in one blind curve, I saw some tire tracks that indicated some cyclist had been going too fast and cutting the corner, and apparently lost control or had to avoid oncoming traffic, and locked both brakes. The tire tracks morphed from one straight line into two parallel tracks that traveled completely across the trail and kept getting wider until they stopped at a pine tree. I imagine there was a lot of pain involved at that point.
9/11/15: Rain yesterday soften the trail some so it is not as slippery. With the ground softer, traffic is wearing down the sides of ruts more quickly but they are still plentiful and deep. There are slide out marks and black tire skid marks everywhere.
